I knew that I had more .223 lying around. Turns out I had a .50 cal can filled with loaded magazines.
Why it was sitting on top of the UPS powering my tropical fish tank, I have no idea…

Heh. Indeed! That, and I had a 1000VA UPS with fresh batteries with nothing to connect it to — it has a serial connector (I lack the cable for it) and none of my computers have serial input. All the computers run on 650VA UPSes with USB connectors. Might as well put it to good use.
